Great for sleeping, not for bouncing
and the Douglas Summit mattress fall in line with other mattress brands and it even has an RV mattress, which not every brand stocks.
It comes in at 12 inches in height and has three layers of foam, making it medium-firm. I found the mattress height to be ideal if you have a box foundation, platform, adjustable or slatted bed frame. Also convenient is that it comes with a machine-washable cover. Douglas also explains its three-premium foam technology with cooling, full-body support, and motion isolation:Article content— It’s made with sustainable Infinitex thread that is interwoven with the cooling fibres to ensure you have a sweat-free night of sleep independent of the season.— The second layer gives you temperature balancing to ensure that body heat is evenly spread across the sleep surface, keeping you cool.
Not to say that I’ve ditched it — what a phenomenal tool — but I get to save some battery life in the mornings knowing I’m going to be okay if I sleep at a decent hour. I also can’t stress enough how impressed I was with this mattress-in-a-box thing. Not only do they offer free shipping, but it comes in a box! I didn’t have to take off the door hinges to remove the door or, worse, stuff it in an elevator.

Cut the wrapping and watch the mattress expand into proper form, ready to slide into your bed frame with little hassle. Additionally, I didn’t realize how lightweight the mattress would be. Seventy-six pounds might seem heavy; but, with two people, it is a piece of cake to move. What’s more, the order came with a free mattress protector, which was appreciated too.
