of his government’s enriched offer to CUPE members, Premier Doug Ford says “the mediator has asked me not to talk about it.”

The Star had three sources from different camps privy to the negotiations who confirmed that the offer was in that range. “You have to differentiate between someone that’s making roughly about $40,000 a year versus someone that’s making $100,000 a year,” said Ford. His comments came as mediator William Kaplan is overseeing talks among the government, school boards and CUPE at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Toronto.
