A shooting at an apartment building in Toronto's Etobicoke neighborhood has resulted in one fatality and another victim in critical condition. Police are investigating the incident and searching for two masked suspects.
A man is dead and another is in critical condition following a shooting at an apartment building in Etobicoke , Toronto , on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred just before 5:30 p.m. in the area of The East Mall and Rathburn Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two male victims, believed to be in their late teens or early twenties, suffering from gunshot wounds inside the building.
Duty Inspector Phillip Sinclair stated that officers immediately began administering life-saving measures to the victims until paramedics arrived. Both victims were transported to a trauma center. Inspector Sinclair addressed the community, assuring them that the police are committed to identifying the perpetrators and solving the homicide. He acknowledged the concern this incident has caused among residents and the broader community. While he declined to confirm whether an altercation preceded the shooting, he emphasized that the investigation is ongoing to determine the events leading up to the incident.Police are actively searching for two masked suspects who fled the scene following the shooting. They are currently without direction of travel information.
