SaltWire's Atlantic regional weather forecast for October 27, 2023 | SaltWireDORCHESTER, N.B. — RCMP in Sackville, N.B., have arrested and charged a 46-year-old Dorchester man with drugs and weapons offences following a home search on Oct. 19.
Mounties executed a search warrant in the rural community as part of an ongoing investigation into a weapons assault and threats incident and arrested Cory Lucci. Officers seized a firearm, knives, ammunition, a prohibited weapon, as well as what police believe to be cannabis, fentanyl, oxycodone and contraband cigarettes from the home.
Lucci appeared in Moncton provincial court through tele-remand on Oct. 20, where he was charged with assault with a weapon and kept in police custody. On Oct. 24, Lucci returned to court and was charged with possession of the drugs for the purpose of trafficking, uttering threats, possession of a firearm while prohibited, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and impaired driving.
