Just months after Apple revised its AirPods with a second-generation model, now there’s a Pro version to go with it.
The new design includes flexible ear tips that fit the ear more snugly, offering a noise-isolating boost to the audio quality. There are three differently-sized pairs of ear tips supplied.The Ear Tip Fit Test helps ensure users get the best audio experience from AirPods Pro by testing the quality of the seal and identifying the best ear tip size for them.
Battery life is the same as on current AirPods, that is up to five hours. With noise-cancelation active, they’ll still manage 4 hours 30 minutes, Apple says. Oh, and in case you wondered, adding the Pro moniker doesn’t mean it has a USB-C connector. Like the iPhone 11 Pro, this has aThis is big: active noise-cancelation is built in, so you can listen to your music in noisier environments, and at lower volumes.
Apple AirPods Pro are available for pre-order now and go on sale on Wednesday, October 30. The new model is priced at $249, £249 in the U.K. The current AirPods remain on sale, at the same prices as before, that’s $159, £159 U.K. and $199, £199 U.K., for the version with theOne last thing - as you know, iOS 13.2 has been expected to be coming soon. Well, Apple has confirmed to me that you’ll need this next version of the software for AirPods Pro.
