A key player in the alleged entrapment plan, self-acknowledged operative David Wallace, is quoted as saying: “He wouldn’t bite. Mayor Naheed Nenshi turned out not to want a dime. As described by Canadaland, the plan was to record Nenshi talking about accepting Russian money, and then release the audio. There was no actual Russian money involved. Wallace’s costs were apparently funded locally.
“I have faith that the appropriate authorities will investigate this story deeply and if any laws have been broken, appropriate action will be taken.unequivocally disavow this type of conduct and condemn those who are found to perpetuate it.”Article content
