LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio - A Lorain County Sheriff’s deputy was physically assaulted by a domestic violence suspect Wednesday afternoon, according to Sgt. Damian Rodriguez.Deputies were called out to a home in the 100 block of Wallu Dr. in South Amherst for a domestic violence complaint.
When they arrived, Sgt. Rodriguez said Dillon, 32, was sitting in the driver’s seat of his Chevy Silverado pickup truck in the driveway.According to Sgt. Rodriguez, Dillon refused to get out of the truck and then shifted the pickup truck into gear and reversed out of the driveway. While reversing, the deputy was partially dragged by the vehicle while being physically assaulted, said Sgt. Rodriguez. The deputy was not injured.
Dillon fled the scene.
