Retailer Dollar General is adding 200 jobs in North Texas with a more than 1 million square-foot shipping hub north of Fort Worth.

Tennessee-based Dollar General leased the massive North Texas warehouse as part of a national shipping center expansion. The property was one of the largest new speculative distribution buildings in the North Fort Worth area.

“The recent additions to our supply chain network aim to provide greater efficiencies, create additional jobs and drive positive economic impact,” Tony Zuazo, Dollar General’s executive vice president of global supply chain, said in a statement. “We’re excited to continue growing our distribution center network to further support store growth and to better serve our customers and local communities.

has more than 100 warehouses nationwide with tenants including General Motors, Amazon and Walmart. The developer has built and managed more than 100 million square feet of warehouse space since 2012.
