Three brands of pet food have been recalled for potential contamination. Here are the products to throw out
Blue Ridge Beef on Oct. 27, 2023, recalled its Breeders Choice 2-pound logs of raw dog food that was sold in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Virginia and tested positive for salmonella, according to a company announcement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Be careful what you feed your four-legged friends: Three brands of pet food have been recalled because they have may been contaminated with salmonella.
The lot numbers for this product are 1000016890, 1000016891 and 1000016892. They are printed on the back of the packaging.The recalled product was sold in Arkansas, Arizona, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. It came in 50-pound bags and has a sell-by date of October 2024 with the lot codes 3277 TFP or 3278 TFP.
Federal regulators are urging the public to destroy the contaminated food in a way pets, children and wildlife cannot access it.
