After Ruby and the Fifteenth Doctor met for the first time in 2023's seasonal special "The Church on Ruby Road," season 14 will take the latest TARDIS team on new adventures across space and time.
While visiting prehistoric Earth thanks to the wonders of time travel, Ruby accidentally steps on a butterfly. As a result, human history takes a wild turn right before the Doctor's eyes, as his new companion not only becomes a strange being evolved from insects, but undergoes a whole personality change due to a reshaped reality.
In the opening of Doctor Who's second 60th anniversary special, a brief, chaotic encounter had the Fourteenth Doctor and Donna Noble inspiring Sir Isaac Newton to name his pivotal, world-changing theory Mavity. As such, throughout history, the word gravity is changed to mavity, and the change not only lasted in the special itself, but Gatwa's debut in "The Church on Ruby Road.
