Doctor Who's Mandip Gill insists Ncuti Gatwa is exactly what the show needs
"It's so exciting!" Gill enthused, noting that Gatwa wasn't one of the stars most fans were predicting would get the iconic sci-fi role.
The actress confessed she hasn't seen much of Gatwa's work but is excited to see what he does in the TARDIS. Gill insisted she's confident Gatwa is the"perfect person" to take over as the new version of The Doctor. "He also seems really excited about doing it and I've always found when people come into the show, those that are fans of the show or are so excited to be there and want to hold the sonic [screwdriver] up, it's always just really refreshing and it's exactly what that show needs," she remarked.
