Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw will star in Doctor Who spin-off The War Between The Land And The Sea
is determined to spend it—announcing today, at its Comic-Con panel in San Diego, that it’s launching a new five episode spin-off series staring Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The series will be verbosely titledhappy about how humanity has been treating the oceans of late.
Davies was on-hand at the panel with Gatwa and co-star Milly Gibson, who talked through the mothership show’s plans for what they’re. In addition to discussing plans to address companion Ruby Sunday’s ongoing PTSD from the last season or so of very weird space adventures, the panelists also brought out footage of at least one big-name guest star:‘s Nicola Coughlan, who Gatwa described as “an absolute star.
