"These individuals that adhere to a Judeo-Christian Biblical ethic and recognize that scripture itself is without any flaw whatsoever, recognize that biological distinctions are not only accurate, and not only foundational in science, but for those people who adhere to these religious convictions are also based on their belief that male and female individuals are created that way,” said Sarah Parshall Perry, a senior legal fellow at The Heritage Foundation.
The Public Religion Research Institute is behind the survey of more than 5,000 Americans. PRRI is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to conducting independent research at the intersection of religion, culture, and public policy.The data shows 35% of Americans say they are comfortable if a friend uses gender-neutral pronouns, 40% say they are uncomfortable, and 23% say it wouldn’t matter either way.
"I think for Americans who come from more conservative theologies, there's great discomfort with using pronouns that don't necessarily match someone's perception of someone's physical appearance," PRRI CEO Melissa Deckman told"An individual's own gender dysphoria, their mental health diagnosis, their self-subjective identity, something that occurs only in their own mind does not require adherence by another individual," Perry said.

She disagrees with the majority of Christians."You might believe that God has no gender," the pastor explained. "In the United Church of Christ, we say that God is still speaking.
