ContributedSTEPHENVILLE, N.L. — Police say an uncommon-looking face mask was left behind by a thief who broke into a home in Stephenville and stole a quantity of cash on Feb. 22 .
Police believe the break-in occurred between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. when the homeowner was away. The owner reported that the culprit forced their way inside through a door. The thief made off with a significant amount of cash from the home but left a distinctive face mask behind.Police ask anyone with information about the crime or the suspect’s identity to call Bay St. George RCMP at 709-643-2118 or tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
