A 56-foot-tall silver fir has found a home in the Distillery District for the next two-months, commencing the unofficial start of this year’s holiday season.
This year’s Distillery District Winter Village Christmas tree is said to be the “tallest one ever” according to a media advisory from the Distillery Historic District.
It was then raised around 12:30 p.m. using a large crane. It took about two minutes for crews to lift the massive tree into the air and secure it, with CP24’s cameras capturing the whole process.
