Disenchantment Season 4 trailer teases the main characters on their own personal journeys, venturing from the depths of Hell to the clouds of Heaven and everywhere in between.
The Disenchantment season 4 trailer reunites Queen Bean, Elfo, and Luci for more misadventures through Dreamland. Created by The Simpson's Matt Groening, Disenchantment follows the adventures of Bean, a princess-turned-Queen, who navigates her destiny in the fantasy world of Dreamland, where she's accompanied by her elf companion Elfo, and her"personal demon" Luci.
The series is animated by Rough Draft Studios, the same studio that worked on Groening's Futurama, and even has shown a connection between the two universes. Although not quite the same high marks as Groening's other endeavors, the show has had decent critical reception. However, Netflix has renewed the series multiple times since its debut in 2018. Groening said he'd like a fifth season, but the streamer has yet to renew beyond Disenchantment season 4.
Groening is best-known for creating The Simpsons, establishing his signature animated style, which has been seen across his body of work, which began in his comic-strip Life in Hell. The Simpsons is currently the longest-running animated show, having 33 seasons and over 700 episodes in its run thus far. The show was recently renewed for a 34th season, which is expected to debut sometime in 2022 and will mark its 750th episode during that run.
While Disenchantment may not have the same level of popularity as The Simpson's does, it has a great niche feel that stands as an alternative body of work for fans of Groening. The show has the same animated style and quirks but delves into a whole other world than The Simpsons , giving viewers something entirely different yet familiar.
