The Crown superfans, rejoice: Season six of the hit Netflix series makes its grand debut this week, airing on November 16th. In anticipation, the official season premiere was held in Los Angeles last night, and cast members such as Jonathan Pryce and Elizabeth Debicki were in attendance for the affair. And call it method dressing, but Debicki’s chic LBD nodded to one of her screen character’s most famous looks—Princess Diana’s “revenge dress.
They called it a “revenge dress,” as she wore it the night a television program aired about Prince Charle’s infidelity. It’s one of her most iconic fashion looks to date, and it seems Debicki wanted to pay tribute to it in a subtle way. On the red carpet for The Crown’s premiere, the actor wore a black Bottega Veneta dress from the label’s spring 2024 collection, and the off-the-shoulder bustier construction looked reminiscent of Princess Di’s.
