The Powerball jackpot was reset to $40 million for Saturday's draw after the whopping $396.9 million top prize was won by one lucky ticket purchased in Bonita Springs, Florida.
The winning numbers last night were 12-33-54-57-60, with the Powerball being 13 with a Power Play of 4x. Nobody won the jackpot by matching all numbers and the Powerball, but one person did win at least $1 million by matching all five white balls.Seven people matched four white balls and the Powerball to take home a $50,000 prize, with two of those winners quadrupling their prize because they also purchased the 4x Power Play.
The Powerball numbers in the previous drawing on January 29 were 09-12-15-31-60, with the Powerball being 02 with a Powerball of 2x. The one lucky winner of the huge $396.9 million jackpot hailed from Florida, with the ticket purchased at a 7-Eleven in Bonita Springs. The retailer also received $100,000 for selling the winning ticket.
The Powerball, along with the Mega Millions, is one of the largest lotteries in the United States. Started in 1992, Powerball is held twice a week, with draws usually taking place on Wednesday and Saturday night. The drawing is always broadcast live from the lottery studio in Tallahassee, Florida.
