A former officer has spoken out about a culture of bullying and ‘d**k swinging’ at Charing Cross station

The officer, who gave the name of ‘Sue’ to protect her identity, remembers the detective she walked in on ‘not even flinching’ when she opened the cubicle door. ‘It was a running joke that prostitutes knew the pin number to get into the cells better than the police officers. The security risk on that was appalling because the pin wouldn’t be changed [that often] and this is a station where they take terrorist prisoners as well,’ she toldAs well as a highly misogynistic culture at the station, she says some officers also expressed racist and homophobic attitudes.
