Bungie has released a new trailer for Destiny 2's massive upcoming Witch Queen DLC, including new areas to explore and horrific new bosses to grind.
Bungie unleashes a new Destiny 2 trailer showing off a new playable world for the upcoming Witch Queen DLC, and it looks like the Guardians will have a lot to clean up on the splendorous corrupted Throne World. The former creators of the Halo series have been keeping sci-fi shooters fans busy with Destiny content year after year, thanks to the developers maintaining a consistent amount of DLC.
The previous DLC expansion, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, was released in 2020 and the fifth expansion for the game. Not only did the expansion provide epic battles on the icy moon of Europa, but it also marked the first expansion to officially release on next-gen consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
— Destiny 2 January 11, 2022 New weapons and abilities are typically introduced with the new Destiny 2 DLC, but it is rare when fans are allowed to explore an entirely new area. Throughout the years, players have been able to explore many stunning locations across the game's solar system, but certain Destiny 2 locations have been removed, or Vaulted, to make room for new content.
Bungie has managed to do what many thought was impossible by keeping Destiny 2 fresh and fun more than four years after the base game was released. Many believe a full sequel is still years away, and others believe Destiny 3 may never happen. Destiny 2 players are about to receive a nice healthy helping on content with The Witch Queen DLC on February 22 to chew on while they await the final two major expansions planned to release by the end of 2024.
