Stalling the project and delaying a final decision will have significant negative impacts on the residents in growing communities in south Ottawa, and more broadly across Ottawa, eastern Ontario and western Quebec. To defer a decision is on-the-fly city planning. Unfortunately, the message to residents and businesses is that our plans are written in pencil, not pen.
If the project is delayed or defeated, traffic patterns will change, including new traffic on Bank Street and Riverside Drive to name a few — or worse: cut-through traffic on non-arterial roads.
