Watson’s practice participation ramped up throughout the week, which is a positive sign he could return in Week 7
Watson, who has missed the last two games with a shoulder strain to his right rotator cuff, appears to be in better shape to play than he did a week ago, however, and was a full participant in Friday’s practice, per head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Watson told local reporters Wednesday “the arrow is trending up” in his recovery, and Stefanski seemed to agree with that assessment with Watson’s practice performance. Watson missed the Browns’ Week 4 loss to the Ravens and Week 6 win over the 49ers with the injury, which he suffered in Week 3. No one — not even even Watson — has seemed to know when he could return, and Watson said Wednesday that he wouldn’t rejoin the team until he could regain more zip and distance on his throws.
