Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was not injured following a car accident in Tennessee, his campaign tells CNN
Bryan Griffin, a spokesman for his 2024 presidential campaign, also said an unspecified number of staff were in the vehicle. “This morning, the governor was in a car accident while traveling to an event in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He and his team are uninjured.
We appreciate the prayers and well wishes of the nation for his continued protection while on the campaign trail,” Griffin said in a statement. Other details on the accident were not immediately available. The Republican candidate had fundraisers scheduled in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Nashville area on Tuesday.
