Deputies were on their way to the scene, near Baytown, around 11 a.m., sheriff says.
Deputies around 11 a.m. were headed toward the intersection of East Wallisville and Thompson roads after a call about an auto-pedestrian crash followed by gunfire, Gonzalez said.
Witnesses said a man might have hit another man with a vehicle before exchanging gunfire with each other, Gonzalez said. Two men were taken to the hospital, one by LifeFlight. Gonzalez did not specify if any of the injuries were gunshots.
