The tour will stop in Sacramento, San Jose and San Francisco this year.

The group — which currently consists of Dave Gahan and Martin Gore — is touring in support of their upcoming 15th studio album, “Memento Mori,” which is set to release March 24. This will be the band’s first tour in over five years, and the first since the death of founding member Andy Fletcher.

Blending dark synth-pop sounds with danceable disco beats, the band broke onto the British new wave scene upon the release of their debut album “Speak & Spell” in 1981. Revered by fans and critics alike for their experimentation, brooding lyrics and post-punk spirit, Depeche Mode has sold over 100 million records worldwide and embarked on 19 tours since their conception.

Concertgoers can expect a setlist heavy with new tunes from “Memento Mori” as well as a smattering of nostalgic fan favorites from across their extensive discography. The Sacramento and San Jose shows will be supported by opening act Kelly Lee Owens; openers for the San Francisco show have not yet been announced.
