Billionnaire Tom Steyer's decided to drop out, saying he saw no path where he could become president. Fellow politicians have thanked him for his advocacy for racial justice and climate change.
Since Steyer's departure from the race, several of his fellow politicians and former rivals have taken to Twitter to thank him for his contribution, particularly on the issue of climate change.
Former Democratic candidate Cory Booker commended Steyer for"ringing your leadership, innovation, and ideas to this race." Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, wrote that she had"nothing but gratitude" for Steyer, who she described as"a steadfast ally to women and families." Steyer responded, writing,"Donald, I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to beat you and save our democracy."
