The Deer Park High School Swing Choir rehearses for its “Hello, Texas” shows scheduled for Feb. 2-4 to help fund student activities at the school.Deer Park High School Choir's performance of its annual gospel show on Sunday will benefit victims of the tornado that devastated parts of Pasadena and Deer Park this week.

“All proceeds will help families in need,” choir director Anita Buffaloe said of the “The Hello Texas Gospel Show,” a performance of gospel and contemporary Christian music that started about 15 years ago as a spinoff from the school's “Hello, Texas” show. The gospel show will be at 2:30 p.m. at the school's performing arts center, 710 W. San Augustine St., Deer Park. A minimum $5 donation is required for admission. For information, call 832-668-7200.

Coming up Feb. 2-4 will be the choir's “Hello, Texas” shows in which the group will be joined by a live band and the school's cheerleaders and drill team for performances that help fund Deer Park High student activities.The Hello, Texas" shows will be at 7:30 p.m. each night at the performing arts center. Admission is $10.

As part of the shows, the school’s swing choir will entertain each night with the 16 singers performing “I Want Crazy” by Hunter Hayes, “Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay and a 1980s rock medley featuring selections by Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Chicago, Duran Duran and Journey.2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29Admission:
