The game was one of six in the age division as the Deer Park youth basketball season celebrated the start to its 2023 campaign with competition in five divisions. With cold temperatures and drizzle outside, Mother Nature made sure everyone appreciated the enjoyment of youth hoops in comfortable gymnasiums.
His son, somewhere in the neighborhood of six feet in height, finished with a game-high 15 points. He netted seven of the team's opening nine points, came back with four points in the third period and four more in the fourth.
