N.S. flood victim surprised by apartment makeover | SaltWireDEER LAKE, N.L. — Police arrested two people from Deer Lake and seized cocaine during a suspicious car search in the early morning hours of Nov. 2.
Just before 3 a.m., Joint Forces Operation West and Deer Lake RCMP checked a parked car on Pynn's Brook Road, finding two people, Brianna Lavers, 25, and Bobby Sheppard, 24, in breach of court-ordered conditions. The two were arrested and a search of the vehicle uncovered crack cocaine and more than 14 grams of cocaine.
Lavers and Sheppard were held in custody and set to attend court on Thursday to each face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and various breaches of court-ordered conditions.
