The Fiesta Carnival opens is gates today at 5 p.m.
The free event takes place Sunday, April 21, in the Deco Arts District at the NYA Deco Building Parking Lot, 211 Beal St., from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Organizers are excited for this year's event after the 2023 event had to be postponed due to inclement weather.
Deco Fiesta benefits Network for Young Artists, which was founded in 1999 by Terry Lowry, an educator for Edgewood ISD at the time. The organizations offers unlimited classes in guitar, keyboard, drums, dance and vocal for only $25 per month, per student. They offer outreach performance events throughout the years and some of their artists will be performing at the Deco Fiesta itself.Fiesta runs April 18-April 28.
