Over the past few months, founder Louann Link has been instrumental in bringing awareness and additional supports for mental health wellness to southwestern Nova Scotia.will start offering programming in Shelburne and Yarmouth counties, including a six-week Living with Grief program at three locations, Death Cafés at two locations, and a Support and Share monthly session at one location.

Support and Share is a walk-in service that provides immediate help for grieving individuals. Sessions for adult participants are held once per month. Facilitator training for grief groups, traumatic loss on tap this fall in southwestern N.S. by Jevon Link Society Peer-led community support programs/grief circles, resilience and wellness programs, resources to manage grief, one-on-one support where possible, advice and referrals for one-on-one counseling, and the Good Grief App downloadable for free from the Google and Apple stores are also among the programs and services available.

"To accomplish this, we are excited to announce that through funding from the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and working in partnership with Nova Scotia Health, 36 facilitators across the Province will be trained on offering traumatic loss programs. Our first program will start in January 2024," says Malhotra.
