The first-look photos for Ryan Reynolds' new costume in Shawn Levy's Deadpool 3 suggest that the MCU changed the franchise for the worse.
The Deadpool 3 costume reveal is the first indication that Marvel Studios has changed Ryan Reynolds for the worse. Directed by Shawn Levy, the upcoming threequel is exciting for several reasons. Aside from the return of one of the most beloved and unique superheroes, Deadpool 3 will also mark Marvel Studios' first full crack at the character, who was previously under the Fox/Marvel banner.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Unlike the Fantastic Four, Marvel Studios is expected to absorb Reynolds' existing sub-franchise in the MCU. The burgeoning multiverse in the Multiverse Saga makes this easier. Plot details are still scant, but some pertinent information about it has been revealed. It has been confirmed that Hugh Jackman will reprise Wolverine and Jennifer Garner will also be back as Elektra.
Previously, Reynolds would stage elaborate marketing stunts to debut any kind of new information about the Deadpool films, including the first look at the character. That isn't the case in this regard. Instead, it's more in line with how Marvel Studios operate. Kevin Feige and his team do not do projecting marketing until at least filming has finished. Usually, their first releases come in the form of a character one-sheet, followed by a teaser trailer.
When Will Marvel Release The First Official Look At Deadpool 3? After the latest MCU schedule reshuffling, Deadpool 3 has been pushed up the release slate, currently set for a May 2024 premiere. It takes the franchise's flagship May release date, which means that Marvel Studios is billing it at the same level as the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
