A new DC animated feature was made in Vancouver.
Voiced by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Natasha Lyonne and others, DC League of Super-Pets is the second film to come from the studio whose first animated feature was the 2019 hit The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. It took four years to complete the film from its 2018 inception. A team of 381 worked on the project. Additional animation was done at Animal Logic’s Sydney, Australia, facility.
Featuring characters from the DC cinematic universe such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, DCs League of Super-Pets is based around the adventure of Krypto the Superdog trying to save his master from the evil masterminds Lulu and Lex Luthor. Krypto first debuted in a Superboy story in Adventure Comics #210 in 1955. Since that time, the super-powered canine has been featured in numerous animated and live action shows such as the locally-shot Smallville.
Animal Logic’s largest production house is located in downtown Vancouver. The studio is now working on Toto, a reworking of the Wizard of Oz recounted from the perspective of Toto the dog. In July, the Sydney-based studio was acquired by
