David Speed has been appointed as Clarington’s new Fire Chief and Director of Emergency and Fire Services.
If the name sounds familiar it’s because Speed comes from Whitby Fire and Emergency Services, where he was Fire Chief and Head of Operations and he was the Oshawa Fire Services Deputy Chief from 2012 to 2014. “On behalf of Clarington Council, I want to welcome Dave as he takes the helm of our fire department,” said Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster. “With his front-line experience and proven leadership record, I’m confident that Clarington will continue to provide exceptional fire protection and emergency response services to our community.”“My family and I love living in Clarington, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Municipality of Clarington in the Fire Chief role,” said Speed.
