This marks David’s Bridal’s second bankruptcy filing in five years, with the first occurring in November 2018.
Despite the bankruptcy filing, David’s Bridal stores remain open and will continue fulfilling all customer orders without delay, and the company will continue to honor gift cards, returns and exchanges, according to the release.
David’s Bridal, which operates 278 retail stores across the U.S., said it is seeking “first day” relief from its bankruptcy filing to allow the company to continue to pay employees, vendors and maintain certain customer programs. David’s Bridal previously initiated a marketing and sale process for all company assets, but was unable to finalize the process and will continue seeking options to sell all or some of its assets, according to the release.
