He was diagnosed with adrenal cancer last July.

“He was known as gentle, quiet and thoughtful with a subtle sense of humor and a love of Legos,” Dartmouth Dean Scott Brown wrote of the 6-foot-3, 305 pounder in an email to the college. “Josh loved Dartmouth football, and his coach described him as committed, unselfish and dedicated to his team, teammates and program.”
