We chat with MythicQuest stars Danny Pudi and Naomi Ekperigin (Blacktress) about Brad leaving prison and Carol moving outside of HR, as well as their roles behind the camera in season 3 of the hit AppleTVPlus series:
Mythic Quest season 3 is almost here, and it seems poised to deliver the winning blend of humor and heart that has made the Apple TV+ workplace comedy such a success. Created by many of the minds behind It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mythic Quest often leans into the messiness of its characters while giving enough glimpses of the humanity beneath to keep audiences invested.
Naomi Ekperigin: It was a lot of fun. Carol's getting some layers, honey. Carol is on a journey this season! And I think up until now, in the first two seasons, we're really seeing her sort of put-upon. They kind of roll up on her, sneak attack, tell her all of their problems. In season three, she gets some agency. She's trying to now run the show a bit more. And she realizes maybe she shouldn't run it. Just don't let her run the show. Carol tired.
But underneath that, I think there are these moments of tenderness and sweetness that maybe he doesn't want people to notice. And that's always a fun game to play when we're in a group. How much of Brad's true authentic self is he actually revealing to those around him? I think most people's biggest fear would be going to prison. I think for Brad, it's showing his true authentic self to someone.Danny Pudi: That would be the nightmare. "I like you, Brad.
Certainly, as an actor, I'm thinking about Carol for the most part, right? "What should I be doing? What's the funniest thing?" It's nice to get to look at everybody, take that back row view, and also put words in other people's mouths.
