Danish retail billionaire Lars Larsen has died at age 71
, founder of household goods chain Jysk, has died two months after stepping down as chairman of its parent company following a diagnosis of liver cancer.
Jysk confirmed in a statement that Larsen died peacefully in his home in Silkeborg, western Denmark, on Monday, surrounded by his family. He was 71.: “He will be missed by all of us, and when we have grieved for our great loss, we will continue to do our best to continue his impressive life work.” The billionaire, one of the Denmark's richest men, leaves behind wife Kristine, two children, and four grandchildren.
