WEATHER: Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Ottawa

Over 1,000 customers were without power in the Ottawa area as of 3 p.m., according to Hydro Ottawa, with outages spanning from Rideau-Jock to Beacon Hill-Cyrville. At the peak of the storm, Gooding said Hydro Ottawa reported 24,000 customers without power, with 2,100 customers remaining without electricity as of 4 p.m.
