This front will be more of a wind maker instead of a winter weather maker for TexasDangerous wind chills and a hard freeze will affect most of the state on Friday morning

Sustained winds will range from 20 to 35 mph, with gusts from 35 to nearly 50 mph are expected into Thursday night. This will lead to dangerous wind chills or “feels like” temperatures. Upper 20s to near freezing are likely closer to 10 p.m. around the Austin and San Antonio areas with feels like temperatures in the teens and 20s.

Central to South-Central Texas will wake up to wind chills from near zero to around 10. It will even feel like single digits along the coast! Corpus Christi to Laredo and the RGV will feel more like teens and 20s.
