So they ventured across the street to the Regal Mansion Chinese restaurant upstairs at the City Square mall, and in what may have been the new council’s first instance of cross-party collaboration, first-time ABC Coun. Lenny Zhou and second-term OneCity Coun. Christine Boyle worked together on the dim sum order.
The family-style lunch was described as a spontaneous chance for the new mayor and council to get to know each other before their swearing-in ceremony next Monday, Nov. 7. Inaugurations are typically celebratory affairs, and everyone is collegial at this point early in the term.
