The man crashed the truck into several vehicles and ran toward the Frontiers of Flight Museum in the Love Field neighborhood as an officer followed, police said. As the man was about to enter the building, he turned and fired at the officer, Dallas police Chief Eddie García said earlier this week.
The officer fired back, striking the man “at least once” in the leg, García said. The man was taken into custody with injuries that weren’t considered to be life threatening, the chief added. No officers were reported injured.Police did not release the officer’s name Tuesday. García is expected to answer questions Friday after showing the body-camera footage.
