Alysa Teichman will open only her second store on one of the few remaining cobblestone streets of New York.

Then the pandemic hit. The second-generation Ylang 23 owner instead created Wildlike and opened it in Dallas about 3 miles south of Ylang 23 in the Plaza at Preston Center.

Artist Jeff Rogers of Dallas-based Trace Element, the firm that worked with Teichman to create the brand’s identity, is painting a mixed-media mural for the new store.

Wildlike sells multiple designer jewelry but also has developed its own collection of earrings in gold, diamonds and semi-precious stones. The new store will stock some New York City exclusives.“The person I was when I left New York was different, and I hope the city will have the same effect on my business,” Teichman said.
