The National Weather Service placed North Texas under an excessive heat warning Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures began to warm up again.
The high temperature Wednesday for Dallas is 103 with a heat index of 112, according to theThe low should drop into the 80s and Thursday’s forecast is similar with a slightly lower high temperature of 102.
There’s little to no possibility of rain until Saturday night into Sunday when the chances increase slight because of an expected change in pressure, the forecast says.The weather service is encouraging people to practice heat safety, including drinking plenty of water and avoiding spending extended amounts of time outdoors.
