Dallas police arrested a 21-year-old man Sunday in connection with a robbery and fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Pleasant Grove.
Just after midnight, police responded to a shooting in the 8600 block of Lake June Road. Officers determined the suspect, Davonta Mathis, entered a business and shot the victim near the counter before stealing merchandise and leaving.Mathis was originally arrested on a robbery charge, according to a news release. Police said they have instead obtained a warrant for capital murder. Court records show Mathis’ bond for the capital murder charge set at $2.5 million., Breaking News Reporter.
