Dallas taxpayers deserve an investigation into payout to outgoing city manager T.C. Broadnax.

Second, it matters whether some council members engaged in a violation of the Texas Open Meetings Act to coordinate a call for Broadnax’s resignation. Broadnax’s contract states that he gets a payout “following a suggestion, whether formal or informal, by a majority of the City Council that he resign.”We are aware of no opportunity under the law for the council to offer an “informal” call for the city manager’s resignation.
