Dallas can lead the way into a brain health revolution | Opinion
Despite these breakthroughs, many people give little thought to their brains until something goes wrong, writes Sandra Bond Chapman.When I was growing up in East Dallas, it was almost a given that a neighbor, a teacher, an uncle would experience a heart attack in their 60s — most before they could enjoy retirement. But a heart health revolution was on the way that would change that trend line dramatically.
Fortunately, we now know that for most people — regardless of age, education and background — adopting simple strategies that can be woven into our daily lives can improve levels of stress, reduce anxiety, increase confidence and resilience, and enhance problem-solving skills to navigate life with greater ease.
