The Side Chick, available Sundays only at High Fives in East Dallas, is made with a pounded piece of chicken, breaded and fried and drizzled with oil. Each messy sandwich also comes with burger sauce, pickles, pickled red onions and cole slaw.
The new sandwich, called the Side Chick, is the latest addition at one of Dallas’ best burger companies, Burger Schmurger. It started as a pandemic pop-up that turned into a full-time job for owner Dave Culwell. Burger SchmurgerThe Side Chick will be available Sundays only at High Fives in Dallas, starting in October 2023. It comes from Burger Schmurger, the pop-up restaurant inside the East Dallas bar.
Culwell, a dad, says the atmosphere on Sundays is welcoming and fun. He created a special kids menu of hot dogs, grilled cheeses and single-patty smashburgers available on Sundays only.The next time your kids beg for Chick-fil-A on the one day it’s closed each week — Sunday — Culwell hopes you’ll think of Burger Schmurger and High Fives.
