Jacob Cloney, who had been Chloe MacKenzie’s prom date, was her passenger and suffered serious injuries. The Cloney family has shown “grace, compassion and love” since then, Jason MacKenzie wrote: “Their concern for me and my family’s wellbeing has revealed a side of the human soul that I hope more of us have the chance to witness . . . hopefully in different circumstances.”
According to Mackenzie, a woman and her grandchildren were also hurt in the crash. He wrote that the children have been released from hospital but the woman remains in care. Cloney, he added, is still recovering from his injuries.Article content In his post, MacKenzie also praised the efforts of emergency crews and of a bystander he says helped both teenagers out of their burning vehicle.
