Lows: Upper 50s to low 60s.It’s a washout today and tomorrow won’t be ideal either. The worst of Ophelia’s storminess does come today, but its effects linger. Several inches of rain are likely, as are wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph by this afternoon and into the evening.
As the storm center approaches later into the afternoon and into the night, rain turns moderate to heavy at times again. A risk for some rumbles and perhaps a quick tornado could make it to eastern and southeastern parts of the area. Daytime high temperatures range from the upper 50s north and west to the mid-60s south and east. Winds are sustained out of the northeast around 20 to 30 mph much of the day, with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph.
